Privacy Policy

HITHER is designed as a private place for your moments. This policy explains what the app uses, why it uses it, and the choices you control.

Information you create

HITHER stores the moments you choose to capture, which may include titles, notes, photos, audio, transcriptions, dates, follow-up settings, relationships between moments, and locations. This content is used only to provide the app’s features.

Where your information lives

HITHER is local-first. Your content is stored on your Apple devices. If you enable private iCloud synchronization, Apple’s CloudKit service stores and synchronizes your content in your private iCloud database under your Apple Account. The developer does not operate a separate account system or server containing your moments.

Permissions

HITHER requests access only when a feature needs it. Location supports place-linked moments and arrival or departure returns. Microphone and Speech Recognition support voice capture and on-device transcription. Photos or Camera access lets you attach images. Notifications deliver returns and follow-ups. You can change these permissions in Apple Settings.

Location

HITHER does not continuously record your route. When you choose a location-based return, the app asks Apple’s location services to monitor the relevant area. Precise locations you attach become part of your locally stored moment and, if enabled, your private iCloud data.

Voice processing

HITHER requests on-device speech recognition when supported. Availability depends on the device, operating system, language, and installed speech assets. Audio recordings remain under your control even when transcription is unavailable.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. HITHER receives transaction and entitlement information needed to unlock features, but does not receive your full payment-card details.

Analytics, advertising, and tracking

HITHER does not include advertising trackers and does not track you across apps or websites. The app’s published Apple privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data.

Sharing and disclosure

HITHER does not sell your personal information. Your content is shared only when you deliberately export or share it, or through Apple services you enable. Information may be disclosed if required by applicable law.

Retention and deletion

Your moments remain until you archive, resolve, or delete them according to the app’s controls. You can delete content from HITHER and manage iCloud data through your Apple Account. Backups and synchronization may take time to reflect a deletion.

Children

HITHER is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a developer-operated service.

Changes

This policy may be updated as HITHER evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date.
